Environmental Stewardship Legacy Program

Our water management program provides an enhancement of a strategic partner's environmental stewardship by saving a valuable natural resource and supporting in environmental sustainability efforts.

Partner with Acequia strategically and achieve the benefits of environmental credits by funding implementation costs designed to reduce irrigation water consumption.  With this method the strategic partner can offset the loss of a precious natural resource and degradation of the environment through an environmental stewardship campaign.

How to Participate:
- Strategic Partner funds a grant for technology implementation that creates significant water savings under Acequia management
- Acequia identifies client-partner properties in areas designated by strategic partner
- Acequia implements and operates the technology to obtain the projected savings
- Strategic Partner receives all the publicity benefits for the water savings created
- A portion of the savings is retained to perpetuate the grant
