Driven by a passion for water conservation and irrigation efficiency, Acequia was founded by Kenneth W. Cook in 2001 and has been focused on providing sustainable water management solutions to commercial property owners since its inception.
In the quest to optimize water savings through efficiency, Acequia's founder and partners realized that in order to truly conserve our limited water resources, they would need to develop a solution that combined best practices for effective water management and superior irrigation technology. As a result, Acequia pioneered the development of range-based irrigation management software with intelligence to manage soil moisture at the hydrozone level. The Aquador™ Intelligence was created as an irrigation management tool to provide sophisticated irrigation scheduling based on real-time environmental data. It also allows for data to be transmitted continuously across the internet from every Aquador™ Intelligence control unit to the central server system for analysis and action. This forward thinking solution has allowed Acequia to save over 2 billion gallons of water to date earning them numerous awards and recognition as a leader in water conservation and environmentally sustainable efforts.
